Which Platforms and Formats Are Most Effective for a CEO?
One of the most common questions from leaders is: Which platforms and content formats should I use to stand out? The answer is not about choosing one; it is about building a strategic presence across many. This episode explores why omnipresence is the most effective strategy for CEO branding and thought leadership.
1. Omnipresence is essential.
If you are only active on one platform, you limit your reach to a fraction of your potential audience. People discover and engage with you in various places, depending on the context, mood, and intention. Being everywhere ensures that you remain visible and accessible.
2. Video builds the highest trust.
Written content has value, but in today’s age of AI, it is easy to replicate. Video remains the most powerful because people can see you, hear you, and experience your energy directly. Video creates trust faster than any other medium.
3. Different formats serve different purposes.
Video delivers presence. Podcasts create intimacy. Articles and blogs establish depth. Books cement authority. Keynotes generate live impact. A strong CEO brand does not rely on one format but combines them for maximum credibility and influence.
4. Credibility comes from consistency.
No matter the platform or format, the key is consistent delivery. Visibility without regular presence fades quickly. Each format compounds on the others, creating a stronger and more enduring personal brand.

I often get the question from CEOs, but what type of formats and what platforms should I use to stand out as a CEO? First and foremost, let's get the platform question out of the way. You should be omnipresent. That means yes, you have a TikTok account too. Obviously you should be on LinkedIn. No doubt at all. 'cause it's the number one business platform for networking in the whole world right now at least.
But. If we take this away, you should be everywhere. You should have accounts everywhere. And that's done from a content perspective. It's changing all the time. What is performing better? But if we just look at the basics, if you build video content like I do right now, it's always more trustful because people see you.
People can feel you. People can experience you in a different way than you have a written context only So. The, the extreme opposite, like I just said, is written articles, written blog posts, written magazine stories, written stories. They're good. But right now we are in a time of ai. Everyone can write everything, so it's less credible.
It's less, less experiential, still works. So I think you should do both. You go video and really build high quality videos that will help you to position yourself looking into how do you want to show up, what is the credibility that you want to build through videos. And then you have photos, you have text, and you have other formats, even audio only.
That will help you to position yourself. So all platforms on one hand and all types of content on the other hand, but video is the most powerful and I believe you should do them.
